Frequently asked questions

Which preset should I use for a logo?

Start with Posterized, it flattens the image to a small number of solid colors, which is exactly how most logos are designed and gives the cleanest result. Lower the color count if the output looks noisy. Leave Edge detail on Balanced, it automatically filters out the tiny speckle paths that soft/anti-aliased edges can otherwise leave behind, which is exactly the failure mode that shows up most on logo exports.

Why do I need my logo as an SVG?

SVG logos scale perfectly to any size, from a favicon to a building banner, with no blur or pixelation, and most design/print software and website builders prefer vector logos over raster ones.

Will it exactly match my original logo file?

It traces what it sees in the raster image, so results are best when the source logo is a clean, high-resolution PNG. If you have the original design file (from Illustrator, Figma, etc.), that will always be more accurate than tracing a raster export.

Is my logo uploaded anywhere?

No, vectorizing happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
