How is this different from the single-receipt Receipt OCR tool?
Receipt OCR reads one receipt at a time into plain text. This tool is the batch version: upload a whole pile of receipts at once, and it extracts structured data (merchant, date, amount, category) from each one and combines every result into a single spreadsheet with subtotals - built for expense reports, not one-off lookups.
How many receipts can I process at once?
Up to 20 per run. They're processed one at a time (not all in parallel), so a full batch of 20 takes a little while - a progress indicator shows which one is being read.
What happens if a receipt can't be read?
It's skipped and listed separately as "couldn't be read," so the rest of the batch still completes - one blurry photo won't stop the others from processing.
Can I fix mistakes before downloading?
Yes - every extracted field (merchant, date, amount, category) is editable in the table before you download, and you can remove any row you don't want included.
What's in the downloaded file?
An .xlsx workbook with an "Expenses" sheet (one row per receipt plus a total) and a "Category Summary" sheet with a subtotal for each expense category.
Is this financial or tax advice?
No - it's for personal expense tracking and reimbursement convenience only. It doesn't file anything, and amounts and categories should be checked against your real receipts before relying on them.
