Which barcode format should I use?
CODE128 is the most flexible for general use (letters and numbers). EAN-13/EAN-8 and UPC are for retail products and follow strict digit-count and check-digit rules. CODE39 is common in logistics and ID badges.
Why did generation fail for my value?
Formats like EAN-13, EAN-8 and UPC require an exact number of digits (and a valid check digit for some inputs), CODE128 and CODE39 are much more permissive with what they accept.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No, the barcode is drawn entirely in your browser on a canvas. Nothing is sent to a server.
