Where 300x300 is the right size
300x300 sits in a useful middle ground: sharp enough to hold up as a profile photo or avatar on a normal screen, but small enough that the file stays light - a center-cropped 300x300 PNG of a typical photo is usually well under 200KB, so it uploads fast and doesn’t eat into a marketplace listing’s image quota or a form’s file-size limit. It’s also the size most people reach for when a platform just says “square image, at least 300px” without giving an exact spec.
If the image needs to look sharp on a high-resolution (retina/Hi-DPI) screen at the same on-screen size, use 600x600 instead - it’s exactly double the pixel density for the same physical display size.

为什么不直接调整大小而不裁剪，这样就不会丢失照片的任何部分？
因为300x300是一个完美的正方形（1:1），而您拍摄的照片几乎没有一张天生就是这个形状——直接调整大小（不裁剪）会把矩形照片压扁成方形，使人脸和物体变形。居中裁剪会先从两条边均匀裁掉较长边多余的部分，因此不会有任何拉伸；代价是原照片最左/右（或最上/下）的部分会被裁掉，这也是为什么上传前将主体居中能获得最佳效果。
我的主体没有居中，我该怎么办？
请先自行裁剪照片，让主体位于中间，然后再上传裁剪后的版本。此工具始终从精确中心裁剪，因此无法自动补偏离中心的主体。
我的图片会上传到服务器吗？
