Is there a limit on file size or length?
Very long or large audio files can fail or time out since transcription happens on a free AI model with practical limits. For long recordings, splitting the file into shorter chunks usually gets better, more reliable results.
Does it handle background noise, accents, or multiple speakers?
It generally does a reasonable job, but accuracy drops with heavy background noise, overlapping speakers, or strong accents. It doesn't label who's speaking, it just produces a plain transcript.
Is my audio file kept or used for anything else?
No. The audio you upload is sent only to generate that one transcript, using a free Whisper speech-to-text model, and is not stored afterward.
