Is my JPG sent to a server?
The image you submit is sent only to generate that one response, using a free AI model, and is not stored afterward.
Does it work on handwriting or low-quality photos?
It can often read handwriting and blurry or low-light photos reasonably well since it uses an AI vision model rather than classic OCR, but accuracy still drops with very messy handwriting or tiny, unreadable text.
Can I ask it to do more than just extract the text?
Yes, the prompt box is editable. Instead of the default "extract all visible text" prompt, you can ask it to describe the image, summarize the text or write alt text instead.
