Swiss QR-Bill Generator
Build a complete Swiss QR-Rechnung / QR-facture payment slip and download it as a printable PDF. The tool follows the SIX Implementation Guidelines for the QR-bill (version 0200): a 62 mm receipt, the payment part with a 46 × 46 mm QR code and the mandatory Swiss cross, and the caption wording in German, French, Italian or English. It knows the difference between a QR-IBAN and an ordinary IBAN and enforces the matching reference type for you.

QR-IBAN or normal IBAN?
This is the decision that trips up most people, and it is not a preference - it is determined by the account number your bank gave you. A QR-IBAN carries an institution ID in positions 5 to 9 that falls inside the reserved range 30000-31999. If your account is one of those, the bill must carry a 27-digit QR reference (QRR), which is the direct successor to the old orange ESR/BESR payment slip and uses the same “modulo 10, recursive” check digit.
If your account is an ordinary Swiss IBAN, the opposite rule applies: it must never carry a QR reference. Use an ISO 11649 Creditor Reference (SCOR) if you need automated reconciliation, or no reference at all for a straightforward transfer. This tool detects which kind of account you entered and switches the reference type automatically, so you cannot accidentally produce a slip the bank will reject.
What the PDF contains
The payment slip occupies the bottom 105 mm of an A4 page - exactly where the standard expects it, so you can print your invoice on the same sheet above it - or you can switch to a 210 × 105 mm slip-only sheet. The receipt uses 6 pt bold captions with 8 pt values, the payment part uses 8 pt captions with 10 pt values, and the whole slip is set in Helvetica, one of the four typefaces the SIX style guide permits. Where you leave the amount or the debtor blank, the tool draws the ruled boxes the standard prescribes rather than leaving empty space.
The Swiss cross in the middle of the QR code is not decoration - it is mandatory, and it is why the code is generated at error-correction level M: the code has enough redundancy to stay readable with its centre covered.
الأسئلة الشائعة
Wie kann ich eine QR-Rechnung erstellen kostenlos - ohne Software zu installieren?
Enter your IBAN or QR-IBAN, your name and address, the amount and optionally a reference, then click Download QR-bill PDF. Everything runs in your browser using pdf-lib, so no data is uploaded and no account is needed. The result is a real vector PDF, not a screenshot, which matters because a rasterised QR code often fails to scan once it has been printed.
Comment utiliser ce générateur QR-facture suisse avec une QR-IBAN ?
Paste the QR-IBAN into the IBAN field and the tool recognises it automatically - positions 5 to 9 of a QR-IBAN sit in the 30000-31999 range. It then locks the reference type to QRR and asks for a base number instead of the full reference, calculating the 27th digit with the modulo-10 recursive algorithm so the reference is always valid.
What is the difference between a QR reference and a Creditor Reference?
A QR reference (QRR) is Swiss-only: 27 digits, requires a QR-IBAN, and replaces the reference from the old orange ESR slip. A Creditor Reference (SCOR) is the ISO 11649 standard used across Europe, starts with RF and works with an ordinary IBAN. Choose QRR if your bank issued you a QR-IBAN, SCOR if you also invoice customers abroad, and no reference at all if you simply want to be paid.
Can a Swiss QR-bill be issued in euros?
Yes. The standard allows CHF and EUR, and only those two currencies - there is no option for dollars or anything else. Pick the currency in the dropdown and it is written into both the QR code and the printed amount block. The account itself still has to be a Swiss or Liechtenstein IBAN.
Do I have to fill in the debtor's name and address?
No, and leaving it out is common for bills that go to many recipients or get handed over at a counter. When you leave the debtor off, the tool prints the ruled boxes the standard prescribes so the payer can fill them in by hand. If you do enter a debtor, make sure the address is correct - some banks reject a slip whose debtor block is present but incomplete.
Why is there a white cross in the middle of my QR code?
The Swiss cross is a mandatory part of the specification: a 7 × 7 mm black square with a white cross, centred on the 46 × 46 mm code, so a person can tell at a glance that this is a Swiss payment code rather than a link or a voucher. It works because the code is generated at error-correction level M, which lets roughly 15 percent of the modules be obscured without losing any data.
