Does cropping permanently delete the trimmed-away content?
No. Cropping changes the page's CropBox - the boundary that viewers and printers respect when showing or printing the page - but the original page content technically remains in the file's data underneath it. If you need to permanently remove sensitive content, use the Redact PDF tool instead, which flattens pages into images.
Can I crop each page differently?
Yes, switch to "Crop each page individually" and draw a rectangle on each page you want to trim. Pages you don't draw a box on are left uncropped.
What if my pages are different sizes?
In "Same crop on every page" mode, the crop rectangle is stored as a relative position/size and re-applied to each page's own dimensions, so it still lines up sensibly even across mixed page sizes.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No, cropping happens entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. Your file never leaves your device.
