Why is high error correction used, and does the logo affect scanning?
Placing a logo over the middle of a QR code covers up part of its data, so a high error correction level is used to compensate, letting the code still scan reliably even with a chunk of it obscured. A very large logo can still cause scan issues, so keep it modest relative to the code size.
What logo image formats work best?
Any common image format works, but a square logo with a transparent or plain background tends to look cleanest once it's placed in the center of the code.
Is my text or logo uploaded to a server?
No, this runs entirely in your browser using the qrcode library and the Canvas API to composite the logo. Nothing is sent to a server.
