Preguntas frecuentes
What counts as a "comment or annotation" here?
Sticky notes, free-text comments, highlights, underlines, strikeouts, ink/drawing marks, stamps, shape markups and similar revision marks. Clickable links and fillable form fields are left untouched, since those aren't comments - they're part of the document's function.
Does this remove form field values too?
No. Form fields (checkboxes, text fields, dropdowns) are a different kind of PDF object and are never touched by this tool - use the Flatten PDF tool if you specifically want to make filled form values permanent.
What's in the downloadable summary?
A plain-text list of every annotation that was removed: its type, which page it was on, its author if the PDF recorded one, and its text content for comment-style annotations that had any.
Will this remove text that was directly typed into the page content?
No. This only removes annotation objects layered on top of a page (the kind added via a PDF viewer's comment/markup tools) - text that's part of the page's actual content stays exactly as it is.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The whole process runs in your browser - the file is never uploaded to a server.
